Hi, my name is Rob, welcome to my new blog Ingest.


This is not meant to be a "food blog", but rather a means of documenting all of the things that I take into my body, and the choices I am making in attempts to improve my overall health.

Here's a little information about me to start with:
- I have been an omnivore my entire life, but have been turned on to both vegetarian/vegan meal options over the past few years and have subsequently incorporated them into my diet
- Most of the meat in my diet is poultry and seafood; when I do eat red meat, it's usually a hamburger or something similar, never steaks
- In the past 2+ years I have become an avid connoisseur of tea, specifically Japanese green tea
- I am severely interested in all things Japanese, so a lot of these posts will be about Japanese food

Anyway, you'll get a better understanding of what I'm all about as the posts pile up. Some of the first things I want to do are short cooking documentaries on some dishes that I have made many times, and some that I have never attempted before.
